On any given Sunday, you’ll find the hardcore fans up early—9 a.m. is still early in Las Vegas—and taking their seats at M Resort for a full slate of day games.
Wearing their team colors and glowing with optimism for a new season, they stand out in the crowd of Sunday brunch and spa-goers at this luxury resort far south of the Las Vegas Strip.
In the years since the M Resort opened, it has come to redefine expectations for a “locals casino.”
Those looking for glitz and glamour can find it in the spa, pool club or world-class restaurants such as Anthony’s Prime Steak and Seafood. Those looking for a familiar neighborhood feel—like the fans turning out Sunday morning—are finding it at the M Resort’s CG Technology Sportsbook and its most popular bars.
After you’ve been to a betting booth or made your wager using the CG Sports app, you can take a seat in any of the 100 private viewing booths that occupy the floor of the sportsbook.
While not completely isolated from the casino floor, the booths offer an added layer of exclusivity for those eager to play the ponies for an afternoon, with pari-mutuel horse wagering, Place and Show bets, and a host of comps.
Many times one of the big projector screens is on horse racing and frequently a handful of HD screens devoted to horse racing. Up to 12 tracks can be shown at one time—either on the screens or on the personal betting carrels.
If celebrating game day with friends, you need some space to spread out, and that’s one thing that separates M Resort from your everyday “locals casino.” From the bars to the blackjack tables, you can see it all.
The closest bar to the betting booths, 32 Degrees, is a fan’s dream. Not only do high-definition screens surround the bar, but there is also VIP lounge seating directly facing the sportsbook’s 10 x 100-foot LED screen.
So kick back and sample the 32 Degrees menu, which is famous for its 96 beers on tap and season-long giveaways, prizes and drink specials—$10 pitchers of Miller Lite, Coors Light, Blue Moon or Peroni—for football fans.
Nearby, the breakfast, lunch and dinner Vig Deli is open all night and can be delivered to 32 Degrees.
Like 32 Degrees, the resort’s 24-hour M Bar has its own list of drink specials, including $15 buckets of Miller Lite, Coors Light, Blue Moon and Peroni throughout football season.
M Bar, a stylish cocktail lounge, has a different vibe than 32 Degrees and the CG Sportsbook. But don’t worry that you’ll miss out on anything.
If you’re having a drink and playing a little video poker at the bar, just look up and you’ll see your favorite game. Or you can have a seat in a private booth that’s outfitted with two large screens.
It’s nice to be treated like a VIP, especially when you don’t have to dress up.
